Praying the Jesus Way part 4
“Forgive us our sins, just as we have
forgiven those who sinned against us.” - Matthew 6 v 12
Do you prefer getting given Christmas presents or giving presents to other people? (Be honest!)
Why do we like getting more than giving? It’s the same deal with forgiveness – we’re more into being forgiven than forgiving others!
That’s why praying like this can be tough:
- Forgive us our sins. We’ve all done stuff that God
says is wrong, so the first person we need to sort things out with is God!
Just like we all need air, food and water – we all need God’s
forgiveness! The amazing thing is that He wants to forgive us, and He will!
(Remember the cross!?)
- Just as we have forgiven those who have sinned against us! If someone gave you a massive, tasty, juicy, gorgeous pie – would you eat it all yourself or would you dish some out to everyone else?
God wants everyone who’s tasted His forgiveness to dish it out to others!!!
