Week Four: Day Four
Respect is Due
“Then Joshua said to the people, ‘Now respect the
LORD and serve Him fully and sincerely.” - Joshua 24 v 14
What’s the point of being alive? What are we actually here for? These words from Joshua tell us what life should be about:
- Now respect the LORD. God’s the biggest, strongest, most loving
and most
pure being ever! He spoke and the universe was created! He knows everything
about our lives and He let His Son (Jesus) die on the cross just so that we could
be forgiven and know Him! Hedefinitely deserves our respect!!! - Serve Him fully. God doesn’t want us to just serve Him on Sundays
or whenever
we feel like it! His love for us is full-on (look at the cross), so our lives should
be full-on for Him! - Serve Him sincerely. God knows why we do what we do. The stuff we do
for Him
should only ever be because we want to put a smile on His face!
That’s what life’s really all about!
