How would you feel if people started using your mother’s name to insult each other or your sister’s name instead of the ‘F’ word? You’d go nuts wouldn’t you? Who wouldn’t?!

Well, imagine how upset God must get when people use His name as a
curse word!

God’s so powerful – He made the whole universe! He’s so loving – He died on the cross to forgive us! He’s so generous – He’s given us all the good stuff in our lives, even the air in our lungs! God’s name is Holy! It’s the most awesome name in the universe because it belongs to the most awesome being in the universe! How dare we curse with it or joke about it?

It’s not a little thing to thoughtlessly misuse the Name of the LORD! Why? Because the LORD will punish anyone who misuses His Name!

Don’t disrespect God’s name – He deserves better!!!
