Week Eight: Day One
Coming Clean
“if we confess our sins, He will forgive our sins, because
we can trust God to do what is right. He will cleanse us
from all the wrongs we have done.” - 1 John 1 v 9
Have you ever broken something or messed something up and then tried getting rid of the evidence?
When we do, say or think the wrong stuff, we often try to get away with it and escape the blame! But God knows! There’s only one way of sorting it out – to confess our sins! That means admitting to God that we’re guilty!
Here’s why:
- He will forgive our sins, because we can trust God to do what’s right! Jesus died on the Cross in YOUR place as punishment for all YOUR sin! God always does what’s right – so if He says you’re forgiven – it’s true!!!
- He will cleanse us from all the wrongs we have done. God’s forgiveness runs deep! It cleans you on the inside so that you don’t have to feel guilty anymore!
Don’t bother trying to hide your sins from God! Just confess it and enjoy His forgiveness!!!
