Week Nine: Day Two
Praying the Jesus Way part 2
“May your Kingdom come and what you want
be done, here on earth as it is in heaven.” - Matthew 6 v 10
This is the second bit of Jesus’ model prayer:
- May your Kingdom come. Every Christian should be praying for God’s
Kingdom to come. Imagine what a difference there would be in your home,
street, school etc. if God’s values, God’s plans, and God
Himself was no.1! It’d be like heaven on earth!
- What you want be done. God doesn’t mind us asking for things,
but it’s good to be reminded that it’s what HE wants that
really counts! He knows what’s best, He’s got the master-plan,
and we’ve got to be willing to let God do what He wants, whether
it fits in with what we want or not!!!
- Here on earth as it is in heaven. In heaven, no one argues with God and no one questions whether He knows best. He’s the boss, His ways and His plans are perfect, and that’s how we should pray and live!
